Who are we?

We are licensed Radio Amateurs who provide voluntary assistance in radio communications.

We are allowed under the terms of our licence to help the following user services:

British Red Cross

St John Ambulance

RVS

Salvation Army

Any Government Department

Any Category 1 responder

Any Category  2  responder as defined in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004

We also regularly exercise our capabilities to prepare ourselves in assisting the user services. 

We are a totally voluntary organisation and much of the equipment used is members own.
