The latest version of the Norfolk Resilience Forum (NRF) Response and Recovery Strategy can be downloaded from the NRF website. This document outlines the agreed procedures and arrangements in the integrated response and recovery from emergencies in the County. It is useful background to understand where Raynet may fit into the emergency response. |

Thanks to to a good turn out of members this event ran very smoothly with a good RF net on 145.200. We also used a well sited crossband talkthough unit to help fill in coverage for the Samaritans Cycle ride that we were also covering from the same control. We had 142 riders taking part and St John Ambulance only had one incident to deal with. |

The event attracted 110 riders and for the first time started and finished from the Sandringham visitor centre. We had a good turn out of Raynet volunteers coordinated by Joey M3JKO at the start location. RF control was carried out jointly with the Sandringham Charity Horse ride. Both events ran on 145.200 with GB3KY in reserve for any poorer coverage areas. In the event by using a main antenna in West Newton Park and a well site talkthough unit the bulk of traffic remained on 145.200. No human casulties were dealt with but some first aid was required for some cycles! Organisers and the local MP passed on thanks for ours and St Johns work. |
