Thank you to group members and other neighbouring group members that assisted on this half marathon. We ran a good coverage net on 145.200MHz to mainly handheld stations from the usual dynamically located control on the higher spots. St John Ambulance had a couple of casualties to deal with at the finish but there were no incidents reported on the course. |

A big thank you to those members that were able to support this event. We established a good net on 145.200MHz and on 3.663MHz. We dealt with several safety issues with overdue horses etc but thankfully all arrived back at base eventually! What was interesting was the lack of RF noise on HF from the control location and the excellent take off on 2m. HF operations was as smooth as VHF and messages were passed with ease. |

Thank you to the members that supported this event and helped provide communications for St John Ambulance at this race involving just under 2500 competitors. A 2m net was established from a well sited mobile and gave good coverage into the whole course. There were a few issues with talkthough units running on the same frequencies but once the issue was resolved things went smoothly on the RF front. What was interesting was that once again Raynet provided a coordinating control for several users and several communication systems. Without our involvement there could have been coordination issues if response activity had increased. |
