Thank you to all members of the group and others that were able to assist at this event. We provided a 2m net across the showground and also ran the control for St John on a PMR Hi-band net. A good crowd attended the event but thankfully due to a cool breeze casualty numbers were low. |

Decomissioning Of Control Caravan & future plans |

After various attempts over 9 months to get a cost effective repair of the broken hub on the control caravan the committee has decided to decomission the unit. Operationally it will not impact too greatly as we will revert to using the tents and portable mast that was in use prior to it's purchase. Items in the van that can be reused in a future unit will be recovered and the unit will be disposed of. On a more positive note the view of many is that a converted box trailer that can be towed and stored more easily could be the answer. |

Thank you to al the members of the group that were able to help at this event. We had a good net on 2m and covered the area well. All bar one of the off road vehicles had amateur comms in it and it was a good joint Rover Rescue and Raynet response. Just over 2000 competitors took part and thankfully St John Ambulance were not too busy even though temperatures were very high. |
